
Project Management
The key elements of NavTech's project management methodology are:
- A phased approach, i.e. the most complex just like the most simple project is divided into several phases with clearly defined activities, deliverables and phase exit criteria.
- The appointment of a cross-functional project team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Regular progress reviews during and at the end of every project phase. The team may enter the next project phase only if all activities and deliverables of the present phase have been accomplished according to the previously defined quality standards.
- Clear procedures for change requests/ approval/ management, problem escalation and conflict resolution.
The essence of NavTech’s project organisation is that both quality assurance and change management are built into the project management methodology. Rather than having separate responsibilities, i.e. a project manager, a quality manager and a person responsible for change management and tracking, all project team members are responsible for quality and are directly involved in change management.
